Frequently Asked Questions
Navigating the healthcare system can be overwhelming, especially if you are dealing with the stress of a chronic illness. My role as a health coach is to be your guide through the ups and downs of recovery, helping you identify the best solutions for your body’s unique needs. I am your personal advocate, research assistant, teacher, and cheerleader through this journey!
As a Certified Natural Health Professional, I am educated in basic anatomy and physiology and trained to identify and address the root causes of illness using natural means like lifestyle changes and supplementation. As a Certified Lyme Specialist, I am educated on the nature and symptoms of Lyme disease and its coinfections, Lyme testing, and common methods (conventional and alternative) of addressing Lyme disease.
Both of my certifications are through Trinity School of Natural Health, and the Certified Lyme Specialist course was offered in partnership with DesBio. I have studied natural health independently for many years through a wide variety of books and resources, and regularly pursue continuing education in various conferences, summits, and webinars from leading doctors and health professionals.
I do not have a license to practice medicine, therefore, I do not have the authority to diagnose, cure, or provide treatment for any disease. I encourage all of my clients to maintain a relationship with a licensed medical professional, and I provide support and guidance to help them get the most out of their experience with licensed medical care.
I believe that humans are integrated beings with non-physical as well as physical needs. There are often mental, emotional, and spiritual components of physical illness (and vice versa), and while I am not a psychologist or counselor, I will take these needs into consideration as necessary. I am a practicing Christian and will gladly pray with my clients, though I welcome clients of all faith backgrounds.
Yes! I am able to serve clients with a wide variety of diagnoses, including Lyme and coinfections, fibromyalgia, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, mold illness, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and more. Whether or not you have a specific diagnosis, I will search for root causes and help you form a personalized plan for recovery. While my specialization is in Lyme and chronic illness, I am happy to help anyone take steps to better health.
For an initial consultation, which is at least 90 minutes long and very comprehensive, I charge $120. Follow up consultations (about 30 minutes) are $45. (Prices are subject to change.) I recommend follow ups every two to six weeks, depending on the client’s needs. Supplements and other recommended resources are in addition, and can be purchased through trusted third-party providers.
Chronic illness places financial hardship on many people, as I know from experience. I strive to provide affordable options to everyone because I believe that lack of funds should never be an obstacle to your healing. I always aim to recommend the best quality supplements possible without overloading your budget, and I am willing to work out a private discount package on coaching services if needed to help you get back on your feet. Just ask!
I can guarantee that I will give you caring, helpful guidance to the best of my knowledge. The rest is up to you! Every person’s situation is different, and healing from chronic illness takes patience and persistence. The more consistent you are committed to be, the sooner you are likely to see progress. Even if it takes months or years to regain full health, I encourage my clients to celebrate every little bit of improvement and keep moving forward!
